Whetstone Whales

The Whetstone Whales, founded in 1975, is the oldest of the three Montgomery Village swim teams. Our swim team is open to children ages 4 - 18 who live in our assigned area. The Whetstone Whales' focus is to teach and improve swimming skills in a fun and friendly environment.

The cost per Swimmer is $160 for the first swimmer. Second swimmer is $150 and each additional is $140.

Are you eligible to join the Whales? Membership between the Whales and North Creek Neptunes can sometimes get confusing.

The Whetstone Swim team is for families in the following communities:

• Dockside, Fairway Islands, Grovers Forge, The Hamptons, Maryland Place, Millrace, Nathans Hill, Poplar Springs, Whetstone, Club Hill, Clubside, Clusters I & II, Clusters III, Forest Brooke, Frenchton Place, Heights and Ridges of Stedwick, Bloom MV Areas 1 & 6. “Buy-in” communities (pay an additional $50 to MVF for a Swim team only pass)  include: Horizon Run, Thomas Choice Gardens, Thomas Choice West, Thomas Choice Condo, Thomas Choice Garden Condominium, Center Court, Center Stage, Christopher Court, Heron's Cove, Normandie on the Lake I & II, Park Place I & II and Walker's Choice.

"Buy-In" Families from outside MVF communities and have children who wish to join a Village swim team can purchase a family membership for $585 per year, entitles an entire family to use any of MVFs six pools for the entire summer.
