Whetstone Whales

Welcome to the Whetstone Whales Swim Team online registration system for our summer 2026 swim season! You'll get access to your own account that will enable you to sign-up for swim meets, jobs, see your children's swim times, maintain your contact information, and more.

Evaluations are on Wednesday, May 27th for swimmers new to swim team or being evaluated from Pre-team/Developmental to the team.

Practice Schedule May 28th to June 19th Afternoon practices only. No pre-team Ages 10 and under - 5:00pm to 6:00pm Developmental - 5:00pm to 6:00pm Ages 11 and up - 6:00pm to 7:00pm

Practice Schedule June 22th to July 17th Morning Practices: Ages 11 and up - 7:30am to 9:00am Ages 10 and under (including Developmental) 9am to 10am Pre-team - 9:00am to 10:00am Afternoon Practices: Pre-team - 5:00pm to 6:00pm Ages 10 and under - 5:00pm to 6:00pm Developmental - 6:00pm to 7:00pm Ages 11 and up - 6:00pm to 7:30pm

Schedule Exceptions: Friday Afternoon Practices During June 22-July 17 During this period, all Swim Team groups (Ages 10 & Under and 11 & Up) will practice together from 6:00pm - 7:30pm on Friday afternoons. *Pre-team and Developmental team practices will remain at their regularly scheduled times. No Afternoon Practices There are NO afternoon practices for any age groups on the following dates: 6/17, 6/24, 6/30, 7/3, 7/8, 7/15. July 3rd Practices and MVF Parade There will be NO morning or afternoon practices on July 3rd. We encourage all of our Whales to attend and participate in the Montgomery Village Foundation Fourth of July parade on the morning of July 3rd.

If you do not live in one of the MVF communities below, you must purchase a non-resident pool membership through the MV Foundation.

Some Montgomery Village households pay a quarterly assessment for access to the MVF pools. The neighborhoods in the Whetstone Swim Team territory include: Dockside, Fairway Islands, Grovers Forge, The Hamptons, Maryland Place, Millrace, Nathans Hill, Poplar Spring, Whetstone, Club Hill, Clubside, Clusters I & II, Clusters III, Forest Brooke, Frenchton Place, Heights, Ridges of Steadwick, and Bloom MV Areas 1 & 6.

In "Buy-in" communities owners do not pay the MVF assessments for the use of the MVF pools. Families who live in these communities purchase a swim team membership for $50 per family which provides access to MVF pools for swim team activities only. "Buy-in" communities in the Whetstone Swim Team territory include: Horizon Run, Thomas Choice Gardens, Thomas Choice West, Thomas Choice Condo, Center Court, Center Stage, Christopher Court, Heron's Cove, Normandie-on-the-Lake I & II, Park Place I & II, and Walker's Choice.
